1. Vacuum Thoroughly Every Week
along carpet edges, under furniture and inside wardrobes. Empty the vacuum outside.
2. Wash Woollens on Hot or Dry Clean Them
3. Seal Items You Cannot Wash in a Bag and Leave Them in the Freezer for a Week
4. Store Clean Woollens in Sealed Bags or Containers
They go for soiled wool first, so wash before storing.
5. Move Furniture Now and Then
Damage starts where the carpet is never walked on or vacuumed.
6. Check the Roof Space for Old Bird Nests
They are a common source of carpet beetles.
