1. Cut Down the Damp
Open windows, run the bathroom fan and fix any leaks.
2. Use a Dehumidifier
in rooms that stay damp.
3. Clear Out Cardboard Boxes, Old Paper and Magazines
They eat the glue and the paper.
4. Store Books, Photos and Documents in Plastic Tubs with Lids
5. Vacuum Wardrobes, Shelves, Skirting Boards and the Hot Water Cupboard
6. Seal Gaps
around skirting boards and pipes where they hide.
⚠️ Are Silverfish Harmful?
They do not bite and do not spread disease. The damage is to paper, wallpaper, book bindings, photos and some fabrics.
