Professional Treatment Preparation Sheet
To achieve the highest level of pest eradication while ensuring the absolute safety of your family and pets, proper site preparation is critical. Our commercial-grade, micro-encapsulated treatments rely on binding securely to clean, clear structural surfaces.
By following this checklist, you ensure our certified technicians can work efficiently and target breeding zones effectively.
Please review these guidelines thoroughly before your scheduled service appointment. Please note that additional charges will apply if our technicians are required to clear or cover items that have not been prepared in advance.
🕒 Before Treatment: Step-by-Step Preparation Checklist
Please ensure the following steps are completed before our team arrives on your property to ensure a safe, high-efficacy chemical application.
1. Kitchen & Food Preparation Zones
- Clear Countertops: Remove all food items, fruit bowls, spices, small kitchen appliances (toasters, kettles), and dish racks from all benches. Leave countertops completely bare.
- Safeguard Food: Store all open food packs, breads, and cereals securely inside cupboards, a closed pantry, or the refrigerator.
2. Bathroom & Personal Care Items
- Clear Surfaces: Store away all exposed towels, bath mats, toothbrushes, hairbrushes, hair dryers, and toilet rolls inside closed drawers or cupboards.
- Toilet Safety: Ensure all toilet seat lids are firmly placed down.
3. Living Rooms, Bedrooms & Electronics
- Clear Floors: Remove all items from the floors across every room, including children’s toys, loose clothes, shoes, bags, and loose rugs.
- Clear Windows: Strip all items from interior window sills so technicians can access window frames cleanly.
- Cover Furnishings: Cover all beds, pillows, computer rigs, television screens, and large open bookshelves with protective plastic sheeting or old spare sheets.
4. Critical Pet & Aquarium Safety Protocol
- Isolate Pets: Secure all dogs, cats, and birds outside the house or away from the property entirely. They must remain clear of the treatment perimeter until the site is dry.
- Protect Bowls: Remove all pet food and water bowls from both indoor and outdoor service areas.
- Seal Aquariums: Fish and reptiles are highly sensitive to airborne droplets. You must completely cover all fish tanks with plastic wraps or heavy towels, and turn off the aquarium air filters prior to arrival.
5. Special Directive for Spider Treatments
- Do Not Clear Webs: If we are treating your property for spiders, leave all existing spider webs exactly as they are. This allows our residual spray to coat the web silk, ensuring wandering spiders pick up the lethal dose. You can lightly brush the old webs down two weeks after the service.
🏡 After Treatment: Post-Care & Re-Entry Instructions
Modern eco-conscious treatments dry quickly, but adhering to proper re-entry times ensures perfect safety for your household.
1. Immediate Re-Entry Window
- The 4-Hour Stand-Down: You, your family, and your pets can safely re-enter the home exactly 4 hoursafter the treatment is completed.
- Air the Property: Upon re-entering, immediately open all external doors and windows to create a cross-breeze. Leave the home to air out for at least 30 minutes before settling back inside.
2. Sanitation & Clean Down
- Wipe Food Prep Areas: Use warm soapy water to thoroughly wipe down all kitchen benches and food preparation surfaces before using them.
- Wipe High-Touch Surfaces: Wipe down frequently handled items such as computer keyboards, television remotes, and internal door handles.
- Wipe and Wash Linens: Remove all sheets or covers used to protect furniture and beds, and launder them together on a hot wash cycle, separate from any other household laundry.
- Restore Aquariums: Remove the covers from your fish tanks and turn the air pump filters back on only after the home has been completely aired out.
3. Long-Term Residual Maintenance
- Avoid Vacuuming: To maximise the lifespan of your pest treatment, avoid vacuuming your carpets and rugs for as long as possible following the service. This preserves the invisible insect growth regulators embedded in the fabric.
- Web & Wall Care: All other surface zones, external cladding walls, and treated window borders can be lightly brushed down or cleaned 14 days after the treatment date.
